MicrosoftXP: 04/16/04 A new Warcraft III patch will be released within the next few weeks, which makes some balance changes to ladder (and RN), but most significantly is the introduction of a new neutral hero. Here is the quoted news from battle.net:
Within the next few weeks, we will release a new patch for Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos and the expansion set, Warcraft III: The
Frozen Throne. The upcoming patch will include several new features, fixes, and balance changes, including an updated matching system,
completely anonymous free-for-all play, clan ladders (The Frozen Throne only), improved player and clan profiles, and a
new Neutral Hero -- the Goblin Tinker. Full details can be found here.
To further test the patch, we’ll be making a beta version available in the next few days. We hope you’ll take this
opportunity to join us for the beta test and try out all the new features and functionality going into the game. Stay
tuned to www.blizzard.com for more information on the Warcraft III patch beta test
MicrosoftXP: 03/23/04 A number of new items are availble including 3 new replays as well some new or updated Rival Nations hang-outs. I also improved the file section to display the newest additions on top each category. Also if you follow the link in the New and Upcoming Events section, you can view some info on a new tournament. MicrosoftXP: 03/18/04 A new version, x1.9b is available for download. This version primarily is to bring the NE bonus down to par with the other bonuses, and to reduce the game winning power of one ability: Lunar Blessing. I'm aware of a number of other things that also need to be fixed but at this point I do not have the time to make those changes and wont for some time. The NE bonus however has become a serious issue, so I felt it was worth an afternoon of my time to fix this instead of leaving it until the next full version. Enjoy.MicrosoftXP: 03/16/04 Poll Madness! Ok, maybe I went a little overboard but I was tired of seeing the same poll every day.MicrosoftXP: 03/15/04 I have finals coming up and then break after that, so there wont be a new version for at least a month, probably longer. Stuff that I will probably change: NE Bonus, Dragons, fix some bugs, improve the ending somewhat. Also One[Destiny] has written an article here on how to use the Pitlord so be sure to check that out if you want to learn how to play one of the strongest starting heros.MicrosoftXP: 02/27/04 I did some website work today, fixing a CSS error, adding more descriptive titles for each page and improving the random screenshot display. Also I approved all the submitted items a couple days ago.MicrosoftXP: 02/29/04 I've posted x1.9 for download and updated everything in the Reference Section to reflect the changes. MicrosoftXP: 02/27/04 Wow two news updates on the same day! First some news on x1.9: Beta testing is going well, most of the stuff I wanted to do for 1.9 is done and seems to be working ok. I've also included a little surprise just to keep this from being a balance only release. Second, you may have noticed the new poll to the left, I'm not sure what else I will be adding to the site in the future but now that I've discovered and successfully installed my first free php script, the possibilities are endless!MicrosoftXP: 02/27/04 After a very busy week I'm starting work on x1.9 again. Not a whole lot has changed since the previous log but heres what I've got so far:| *removed - see log above* |
MicrosoftXP: 02/21/04 I've started beta testing x1.9 which, right now, only has bug fixes and balance changes. Heres a copy of the change log so far:| *removed - see current log above* |
MicrosoftXP: 02/16/04 I approved everything that was submitted since the main page was added and I will probably be looking into putting some more info on the front page.MicrosoftXP: 02/15/04 The available Round 3 replays have been added to the featured replay section on the right side of this page. Also 1.9 is somewhat in development, mostly looking at balance changes so far. And I'm also thinking about some kind of individual RN tournament / event, so stay tuned for info on that.MicrosoftXP: 02/09/04 The main page for the website is finally done! I know its not too spectacular but now it should be a lot easier for people to find things, especially the newest versions and game information. I've also updated the reference section to bring all the information there to match with the current version. Also I'm sure everyone knows that we had a tournament on Feb 7th, and despite some complications we got through it with 3T taking the win in the finals. The brackets can be viewed by going to the tournament section of the site and the replays can be downloaded on the right side of this page. We are missing replays from all of the round 3 games except for bracket D, so if you have a replay from one of these please upload it on the forum someplace and once I have them all I will add the round 3 replays. I want to thank all the players for sticking through the delays and participating, and SiegeMentality for helping run it so that I could participate! In the future I will be using this site to announce upcoming Events, which should include more than just tournaments as well as announce planned changes to the map. I may also look into getting a Poll and have a monthly or bi-weekly poll for current issues. If you have any suggestions for the site just leave me a message in the forums. |
